Full Job Description
Evtec Automotive are an automotive parts manufacturer based in Coventry with customers including Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren and Ford. We are looking to recruit a new addition to the quality team to support on increased workload and increase capability for the business., Reporting into the Assistant Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will be mainly responsible for:
- Be the first point of contact for any shopfloor part quality issues raised by production personnel, raise care points where necessary
- Carry out calibration as and when required
- Carry out goods inwards inspection for customer parts
- On a daily basis, collect any scrap parts and process where necessary
- Carry out detailed measurements as and when required for the injection moulding department Core Responsibilities
- Respond to and support any shopfloor issues raised by production personnel, investigate with relevant departments to close out.
- Carry out the internal calibration of the torque guns, managing the existing system
- Assist in training OE or aftermarket operators in general quality awareness and product quality assurance control measures where necessary.
- Review and disposal of non-conforming products through the correct routes, as required.
- Support any sub-supplier onsite inspection activities when necessary
- Carry out any goods inwards inspection as and when required and complete relevant paperwork
- When necessary, support the inspection area's if manning is low in that area and priorities allow.
Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to converse with people from different departments / levels of management - Experience working in a quality role within an automotive organisation
- Understanding of latest quality tools & techniques
- Conversant with SPC and measuring parts as well as reading engineering drawings
- Ability to drive, and own vehicle desirable
