Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 receptionist, 37.5 hrs per week at Radyr Medical Centre. The successful applicant must be prepared to work shifts between the hours of 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday therefore flexibility is vital. Our reception team provide a friendly professional service to patients, visitors and staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individual who has excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, knowledge of the clinical system, Vision and Microsoft Office desirable. Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer-facing role is preferred but is not essential, as training will be provided. Some of the key reception duties will include; Opening / closing up of the surgery, booking and cancelling appointments, front of house reception duties, dealing with queries, prescription requests, answering telephones, primary care registrations and other administrative duties for the practice. - Reception Administration Team

- Practice Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
- Receive, assist and direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- Care navigation ensuring the patient receives the highest level of care and signposting to the most appropriate clinical professional.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies
We are based in the heart of Radyr village and have a patient list size of over 11,200. We provide a full range of primary care services to our practice population. We have a dedicated team of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, GP Registrars, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Cluster Pharmacists, Administration and receptionist teams.
