Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Achieve BBST, an integrated drug & alcohol service, specifically within the case management and criminal justice teams based in Salford and Trafford. Working with our partner agencies Big Life, Great Places, Early Break, Thomas and Intuitive Recovery Services. The team and our partners bring a passionate belief that recovery can be self-defined. We are looking to invite people who share our passion, commitment, and enthusiasm for personalised care and recovery to apply for the position of Recovery Coordinator. The post holder will be committed to assisting others to make positive and empowering changes to their lives and working with the Multi-Disciplinary Team they will work with service users to initiate and assist in sustaining recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependence and building recovery capital. The successful applicant will work within a team of fellow professionals and carry a caseload of service users with complex and diverse
needs. They will be required to work flexibly to meet the changing needs of our services users and be committed to creating a kind and inclusive environment, which allows our staff and service users to flourish. Achieve Trafford and Salford are committed to ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults, and all applicants will be required to demonstrate understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice., To offer advice, information, advocacy and support to substance misusers accessing or seeking to access the service, and to provide a range of interventions dependent on the needs of the service and the service user. To case manage identified service users with substance misuse problems, keeping them fully informed of the range of services and support available to them and the choices they have. Ensuring that are involved in developing realistic recovery plans and facilitating access to psychosocial interventions and support both within and external to the service., We are aspiring to ensure our workforce is representative of the diverse communities that we serve, and we are strongly committed to removing barriers to employment for candidates from under-represented groups, for example BAME, Disabled and LGBT+ communities.
