Full Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans, expanding Sulzer's presence in UK Industry nationwide, with a focus on pump solutions.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, particularly in pump system selection and sizing for Industrial sector applications.
  • Expand and nurture existing accounts to maximise business potential, specifically around pump services and products.
  • Work closely with clients to assess their pump system requirements, providing expert guidance on pump sizing, selection, and performance to meet their specific needs.
  • Identify and nurture key decision-makers within Industrial companies, understanding their unique needs and challenges, and positioning Sulzer as the preferred partner for their pumping solutions.
  • Refine and adapt strategic pricing and value propositions for pump services, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.

    A proven track record in technical sales, with significant experience in pump selection and sizing for a wide variety of Industrial applications
  • In-depth knowledge of pump systems and experience with other electro-mechanical/rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, mixers, blowers, turbines, compressors) is desired
  • Strong motivation to grow understand the needs of existing high value accounts and explore new business avenues, particularly related to pumping solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability and experience of guiding customer through a consultative solutions based process
  • Experience in pumping for pulp and paper desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical pump information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivation and results orientation, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel nationally ; a Full UK Driver's Licence is essential.

This role will require national travel , as you will be at the forefront of driving our growth, identifying new opportunities, and managing existing accounts across the UK (primarily England ) . The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with over extensive experience in pump sales, demonstrating a proven ability to manage the diverse needs of key accounts effectively. You should also bring a passion for solution-based selling, particularly in developing new opportunities within industrial applications. You are likely to currently work for a pump manufacturer, distributor, or in a role involving the sale of packaged solutions that include pumps.
