Full Job Description

The core activity of the Band 5 nurse is to ensure that there is a person centred, co-ordinated and integrated multi-disciplinary approach to support people with a learning disability who engage in behaviours that challenge and/ or have mental health problems during a period of assessment and treatment.
To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and to be named nurse for patients on the ward.
To promote positive behavioural approaches to support service users and promote a positive professional image of the Unit.

We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated Registered Learning Disability Nurse/ Registered Mental Health Nurse to work on Ty Lafant, our 7 bedded Assessment & Treatment Unit for individuals with a Learning Disability.
Ty Lafant provides short term assessment and treatment for individuals with a learning disability with mental health issues and / or challenging behaviour., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
