- Vacancy Reference Number - Job title: Distribution Security Officer Location: Sainsburys Emerald Park, Bristol Pay rate: £12 Hours: Full or part time hours (cannot be both) 42 hours - working as a relief officer (coving different sites) Job Overview: Mitie is looking for Distribution security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors at Sainsbury's (insert depot name) depot. It is preferred that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history. SIA licence training can be provided. Main duties: · To deliver industry leading customer service · To conduct patrols of the depot · To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors · Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the depot · Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss · Liaise with the depot management teams · To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices · To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager · To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime · Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed · Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (RDC ONLY) · Must have reasonable level of PC skills Benefits to working with Mitie include: · Contracted hours · Annual leave entitlement · Pension and Life insurance schemes · Free uniform supplied · SIA Re-licencing programme · Comprehensive induction and training programme · Access to Mitie's outstanding employee benefits including financial services, retail discounts, reward schemes and online GP services. · Apprenticeship schemes · Progression and development opportunities · All breaks are paid
