Full Job Description

The post holder will be mainly in charge of building tetrode microdrives, and contributing to behavioural experiments involving neural recordings. The post holder will also be encouraged to work creatively to improve their efficacy. They will also need to perform a variety of procedures such as surgeries, perfusions, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and basic data analysis. The position is available on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE) 3 days per week and is funded for one year in the first instance. The salary offered is £38,357 (pro rata) including London Allowance. Applications are invited for the position of a Research Assistant to join the Bendor Lab within the Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, at University College London, led by Professor Daniel Bendor. The laboratory investigates how auditory and spatial information is used in behavioural tasks such as navigation, and consolidated into memory.
