We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Reservations Manager to lead our efforts in driving new business, growing client relationships, and managing all aspects of room reservations. This dual-role is pivotal in ensuring we not only meet but exceed revenue and occupancy targets, while delivering outstanding customer service and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in proactive sales, customer service, and reservations management, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
Main responsibilities: Sales & Business Development
+ Proactively research and develop new business opportunities in room sales, and group bookings.
+ Build and maintain relationships with key clients, conference bookers, corporate accounts, and local businesses.
+ Collaborate with the Revenue and Marketing teams to develop strategic account and sales plans.
+ Identify and capitalize on local business opportunities, competitor activity, and market trends.
+ Plan and execute sales campaigns, familiarisation trips, business park drops, and client presentations to drive awareness and bookings.
+ Represent the hotel at sales and networking events and liaise with local chambers and associations.
+ Provide insights and benchmarking data on competitors to refine sales and pricing strategies.
Reservations & Revenue Management
+ Manage the Reservations Team to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service and accurate booking processes.
+ Maximize conversion of enquiries and incoming reservations using effective chase systems and sales techniques.
+ Maintain inventory integrity across all booking systems, performing regular audits (e.g., 3/7/30/60-day checks).
+ Support the Revenue Manager in implementing rate strategies, yield management, and overbooking controls.
+ Ensure the delivery of accurate billing, adherence to credit policies, and post-stay communications.
+ Monitor and improve performance through system audits, KPI tracking, and guest feedback analysis.
Team Leadership & Communication
+ Lead, motivate, and develop the Reservations Team through structured training, coaching, and performance reviews.
+ Foster a collaborative and customer-focused environment across departments.
+ Set clear objectives aligned with the hotel's business plan and provide ongoing feedback and development.
+ Ensure open communication through regular briefings and team meetings.
