Full Job Description
In our Retrofit Building Surveyor role, you'll be working across the complete retrofit and decarbonisation project, directly supporting improvement of our properties with a focus on multiple retrofit measures., This is what your day will look like as our Retrofit Building Surveyor:
- Responsible for the daily project management of the Warm Homes: Wave 3 appointed delivery contractor, ensuring works completed under the programme are PAS:2030 and PAS:2035 compliant for Trustmark accreditation and meet DESNZ requirements for funding.
- Undertake property surveys, inspections, and the like and reporting on the outcomes to the necessary department, appointed Contractor or external partner. Update necessary systems as required.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budget for the Warm Homes project; raising orders and variations and agreeing interim/final accounts, maintaining/monitoring expenditure records, forecasting the budget spend.
- Undertake consultations and liaise with customers, stakeholder and tenant representatives. Attend meetings for Tenant Representative groups, as necessary. Your toolkit for success To thrive in our Retrofit Building Surveyor role, you'll need:
- An understanding of the social housing industry, or from the wider property industry who can bring experience / transferrable knowledge of general repairs and planned programme contract management or building surveying.
- A working knowledge of affordable housing stock, TCP contracts and NHF7 schedules as well as HCA requirements.
- To be driven by delivering positive outcomes to both properties and customers alike.
