This new role is an exciting opportunity to employ your experience, skills and knowledge of Allocate's e-rostering systems in a forward thinking Resourcing department at the Black Country's Lead Provider for mental health and learning disability services. The successful candidate will work within the E-Rostering Team and will be the first point of contact to provide inpatient ward staff with dedicated support and to closely monitor the rosters, embedding good practice and safe staffing. You will work closely with the Temporary Staffing Team to ensure the reduction in agency usage across the inpatient wards. This position not only presents an opportunity to apply your skills but also plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective staffing., · Serve as the primary contact for inpatient ward staff regarding Allocate's e-rostering systems. · Regularly visit wards and meet with managers and monitor staffing rosters, to ensure they meet safety standards and best practices. · Embed good practice in rostering processes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction · Work closely with the Temporary Staffing Team to minimise agency usage and promote effective internal staffing solutions. · Address issues proactively and implement solutions quickly. · To collaborate with various teams and departmentsWorking for our organisation The E-Rostering function is part of a wider Resourcing department, which sits within the People Directorate. Taking up this role in E-Rostering will mean you are part of a progressive Resourcing function, with opportunities to develop skills and career development in all areas of workforce systems and processes., + Support the implementation and monitoring of Auto Rostering for all wards, which will provide safe, fair and effective inpatient rosters. + Organise and participate in monthly roster clinics for inpatient wards in a proactive manner to make sure organisational policies and best practices are followed. Additionally, this will give time to determine training needs and provide assistance to both new and current staff members. + Assist managers throughout the Trust with important roster maintenance duties such managing annual leave, logging sick days, and calculating net hours. + Produce reports using Optima, Excel, word and PowerPoint to identify any data issues and pro-actively advise on changes that would benefit the rosters. + Maintain Allocate software and rostering system. Creating rosters and updating templates, ensuring system is up to date to allow the smooth production of rosters. + Attend meetings with Managers, other departments and software providers where appropriate. + Regularly sync data between ESR and Optima and investigate/resolve any inconsistencies. + Assist the Resourcing Team Leader when necessary to ensure the team meets reporting, rostering calendar and system upgrade timescales.

The salary range quoted is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures. This is based on the number of years' working directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will apply, but candidates without prior experience working direct for the NHS would normally be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate the equivalent experience and then be eligible for incremental increases in future years. Successful applicants for clinical posts up to and including Band 4 are expected to hold the national Care Certificate qualification and will be supported to attain this once in post.
