The Education Directorate wishes to appoint a School Capital Development Lead for its Capital Team. The post holder will be agile, working from home, or in an agile working space in the Guildhall according to business need, and attend schools and sites when required.

The post holder will be a Delivery Group member and will be highly engaged in the strategic planning of the programme and projects.

They will have full responsibility for the leadership, management, resource planning, and delivery of assigned project(s). Typically, they will manage a number of projects at any one time (depending on size and complexity), and each could extend up to a five-year period. The post holder will identify and influence resource requirements and stakeholders and establish, manage and direct multi disciplined project teams for the implementation of projects adopting project management principles to ensure delivery to programme, profile and budget.

The role requires a flexible approach to duties to engage, advise and lead on issues required to support capital developments and strategy, and the postholder will be able to demonstrate a good eye for detail, with excellent leadership and management skills, with ability for strategic oversight and strength in collaboration and engagement.
