The Schools and Gateway Transition Co-ordinator role:
As our Schools and Gateway Transition Co-ordinator, you will coordinate and support a variety of learners across the College, facilitating infill/taster opportunities and ensuring their success.
You will work closely with the 14-16 team and Gateway, building relationships with external stakeholders and our delivery team., + Monitoring and ensuring the quality and delivery of Fresh Start learner placements.
+ To co-ordinate the TSD (Technical Skills Days) and home educated students placements.
+ Building and maintaining excellent working relationships between the college, schools, parents and external stakeholders.
+ To manage the S3 and referral process for Gateway learners.
+ Providing students with a high level of support relevant to their individual need and programme of study to facilitate progression, achievement and success.
+ Focusing and taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student attendance and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
+ Developing and managing cross college infill/taster programmes.
+ Monitoring individual target setting and progress.

Our ideal Schools and Gateway Transition Co-ordinator should have the below skills and experience:
+ Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent)
+ Experience working in a co-ordinating role requiring planning and organisational skills
+ Experience working with 14-16 year olds with emotional and behavioural difficulties
+ Management of behavioural issues of 14-16 learners
+ Proven communication and Interpersonal skills; written and verbal
