Do you want to be part of 'an inclusive school community where pupils are happy and proud of their achievements' [Ofsted 2023] Do you want to make a difference to the outcomes for all students in a school where staff 'have high expectations' [Ofsted 2023] In May 2025, our brand new state-of-the-art Science refurbishment, costing £3.48 million will be complete! Every Science teacher will have their own teaching laboratory, and we are excited to build on the department's excellent outcomes from August 2024: 88% of students achieved grade 4s or higher across the Triple and Combined routes including 27 grade 9s. The department has an exceptional track record of providing ambition and challenge for our young people; last year 52% of our Year 11 cohort were entered for Triple Science We have a vacancy for a Science Technician and are eager to appoint someone with enthusiasm and good organisational skills to provide technical support to the Science department. You will need a flexible approach to work, an ability to work to deadlines and a good sense of humour to join our established successful Science team. Previous experience is not essential as training can be given. Work experience in a science-based occupation or a science qualification (particularly in Chemistry or Physics) would be beneficial. The successful candidate will:
