We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing EHS initiatives that promote a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship across our operations. As an EHS Manager at LabCorp you will:
- Oversee EHS operations for the Eye facility
- Manage and administer environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements, corporate initiatives and company objectives.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the site organization.
- Partner with site management to ensure applicable EHS related goals, learning opportunities and regulatory requirements (assessments, plans, training, etc.) are satisfied.
- Provide advice and appropriate assessment and prevention of EHS related risks, including but not limited to Biological Agents and Genetically Modified Organisms, Chemical Safety, Waste Management, Radiation Safety, Fire and Life Safety, Ergonomics, Noise, Air Emissions, Hazardous Material Spill Prevention, Emergency Action Response, Office Safety, Fleet Safety, Personal Protective Equipment
- This role has no direct reports, but will coach, partner and manage employees, consultants, and contractors indirectly while leading projects. What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Life or Physical Sciences or equivalent experience in a science based, chemical or high hazard industry role
- EHS experience from the above industries
- Professional certification in Health and Safety e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Biosafety, Occupational Hygiene and Environmental qualification would be desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication, people and presentation skills.
