SEN Primary Teacher with responsibility for Teaching and Learning / Communication
MPS/UPS plus TLR2 and SEN Allowance
September 2025 (or sooner)

Now under new Leadership and part of the hugely successful London South East Academies Trust, Grove Park School are recruiting for a committed, empathetic and collaborative teaching team within Primary to take the school forward on an exciting and transformational development journey. Grove Park School is a specialist school for pupils aged 4-19 with a wide range of special education needs, including Profound and Multiple learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school is set across three sites (primary, secondary and sixth form) located closely together in Crowborough, East Sussex.
In addition to their new Headteacher, Grove Park School is also extremely excited to be starting their journey of improvement with the guidance and support of London South East Academies Trust, an award-winning special education trust with a proven background in transforming special schools into amazing places to learn and work.
An empathetic, kind, motivated and passionate Teacher is required to lead on Teaching and Leaning / Communication within the Primary setting at Grove Park School. Working under the direction of the Headteacher, this role will hold responsibility for:
· Providing leadership and management of the school's phase curriculum
· Delivering high-quality teaching and effective use of resources.
· Improve learning standards and achievement for all pupils, while also carrying out their duties as a classroom teacher.
· Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planning
· Provide coaching and mentoring within the Phase, offering guidance and modelling to jointly develop best practice.
· Participate in activities that assure the quality of the educational provision.
As a Teacher with lead responsibility this position will have a reduced teaching timetable commitment, including planning and teaching lessons, assessing pupils' progress, and managing behaviour effectively.
This role requires a Teacher with experience of working with primary aged pupils and committed to supporting children and young people with special education needs to reach their full potential.
Interest is welcomed from candidates with a either a background in SEND or those from a mainstream primary background passionate about for working with pupils with special educational needs.
A full induction training programme will be provided along with continued CPD and career progression opportunities for those wishing to develop a SEND career both within the school and within London South East Academies Trust. Staff wellbeing is a priority within both the school and Trust ensuring everyone is well supported.
