Are you a cheerful, positive person who enjoys working in a dedicated team of staff who support children and families? The Headteacher and Governors at Beechwood Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint at least one teaching assistant to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The ideal candidate will share our school values and have the ability and enthusiasm to work with children within small groups and as part of a whole class.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about children and their learning, who is nurturing and approachable with excellent communication skills. In return we can offer a welcoming school with children who are happy and willing to learn, an enthusiastic and supportive staff and a Senior Leadership Team who prioritise staff wellbeing.

Previous experience of working with SEND pupils is desirable however, candidates without experience will be considered. It is important candidates have an understanding of the importance of building a trusted relationship to meet a child's social and emotional needs. The successful candidate should be a positive role model and support with all aspects of self-esteem.
