Full Job Description
Newhouse Academy are seeking a SEND Emotional Wellbeing Coordinator to support the strategic leadership of our SEND provision.
This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that all students with special educational needs receive the support they need to thrive.
Working closely with the SENDCo and SEND Curriculum Inclusion Coordinator, you will contribute to the development and implementation of interventions, oversee the provision for pupils with EHCPs, and play an active role in supporting the SEND team, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
The Hollingworth Learning Trust operates a Smoke Free Policy for all employees that applies to any building and associated grounds within the immediate vicinity of the building, which is wholly owned, leased or operated and occupied by the school.
In September 2024 we opened a brand new state of the art building which houses 'Aspire' our SEN department as well as PE, Performing Arts, Technology, Music and Science.
Newhouse Academy strives for 'high expectations in all that we do' and the successful candidate will be committed to helping us achieve this.
In return, we offer:
· Membership of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF)
· Funded CPD for nationally recognised qualifications
· An optional package of health benefits from Simply Health which includes; GP appointments, money back for eye tests, prescriptions and more.
· Free use of brand new gym facilities
· Staff activities, including a Wellbeing Café
· Free staff car parking
We openly encourage you to make an appointment to come in and have a look round. Our Assistant Headteacher & SENDCO, Hilary Lunn, is more than willing to meet you and talk through our journey and our vision for the future. Your visit would include a tour of the new school building which opened in September 2024. If you would like to arrange a visit, please email Rebekah Duffy on recruitment@newhouseacademy.co.uk.
