An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SEND Lead/SENDCO to join the Inclusion Team at Haringey Sixth Form College. Working alongside our new Director of Inclusion and CaLM (Curriculum and Learning Manager), you will contribute to a passionate SEND leadership team who are committed to improving the life chances of young people at Haringey Sixth Form College! You will be working with young adults on foundation and mainstream programmes, overseeing the learning and support of students with SEND. This is a busy and varied role, with no two days being the same. Many of our amazing learners have come from local comprehensives and special schools and will have external services supporting them or their families. You will have the opportunity to contribute to young people's progress at all levels, including their social, emotional and language development. You will be a committed and experienced SEND specialist, who has experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs on courses between Entry Level to Level 3. You will fully integrate yourself into the department and share our commitment to raising standards and improving the life chances of vulnerable young people. You will be an agile and capable leader with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with experience of leading a large and diverse team of teachers and support staff. You will have a sense of urgency and the ability to implement change efficiently and effectively. A great sense of humour and a team player are a must! Our amazing young people come here with high aspirations - we help to make them outstanding citizens. It is this simple really: we run this college for the benefit of our students.
