Hamstead Primary School are currently looking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated Attendance Lead to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will provide vital support to Senior Leaders and Safeguarding Team on a daily basis to continue to drive standards of attendance of our pupils by working with individuals and families in order to overcome barriers both inside and outside school. We are looking for someone who can offer the following:

• Experience and enjoyment of working with vulnerable children and families to reduce persistent absence and improve attendance and punctuality.
• Work with enthusiasm and commitment and communicate well with all of our school community.
• Provide high quality advice, support and challenge for pupils and staff.
• Work in a professional and responsible way.
• Help to shape attendance strategies, policies and procedures.
• Liaise with relevant external agencies including the LA Attendance Team.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Safeguarding team.
• Conduct first day calling/messaging for absent pupils and engage with parents to foster positive relationships.
• Make home visits, both regular and unannounced, to address attendance issues.
• Maintain accurate case records and take necessary action in cases of non-compliance or persistent absence.
• Analyse attendance data and contribute to the development of support groups for parents and pupils., The successful candidate will be required to work 15 hours a week, term-time only.
