Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join UWE Bristol as a Senior Accommodation Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is key within the Accommodation Services structure to enable the delivery of an excellent service through the management of the Accommodation Manager Team, provision of specialist advice, development of initiatives and operational project management delivering an excellent service to our customers and stakeholders.

The post holder will have regular liaison and collaboration with colleagues across the University and The Students' Union at UWE.

About us: Accommodation Services provide a home to over 5789 students living within our portfolio and in nominated properties. This role will help deliver a high quality service within a customer-focused environment which operates 24/7/365.

Our dedicated team of staff provide support and signposting on a wide variety of emotional and practical issues, from issues living with others, behaviour management, homesickness, general wellbeing, engagement with meaningful social activity and connecting students to the services offered by the wider University., Postholder(s) are required to be available to work out of standard office hours working a minimum of one evening during the week until 19:00.

Weekend working will be required in respect of the main departure and arrival times (Welcome Weekend), Summer turn around and various marketing events (Open Days and Applicant days). Prior notice will be given.

You will be required to act as a main point of contact in a duty manager's role outside of normal working hours, as part of a rota with other staff.

About you: You will be an experienced manager with a track record of leading a team to deliver excellent service with a diverse customer base.

You will have the breadth and depth of experience in a professional service within a large complex organisation and are able to demonstrate a full working knowledge and proficiency of Accommodation Management.

You will have experience of project management at operational level or above; being able to manage and schedule operational tasks and projects effectively, ensuring clarity of accountability and performance management.

You will need to have excellent networking and influencing skills to establish positive working relationships across the university. You will be passionate about people and getting the most from a diverse team., Disability Confident
