The Merchandising Function The Merchandising team is responsible for the end to end management of stock within the business from planning and managing intake into the business and maximizing the stock profile to drive sales and profit. Working in collaboration with buying, trading and commercial marketing to drive product opportunities, build brand relationships and meet business targets. About The Role Reporting into the department Merchandiser, you will be instrumental in assisting in the management of intake and the stock profile of your department to support driving KPI's. You will be focused on reacting to trade to drive profit, improving effciencies and providing reporting and analysis whilst mentoring junior members of the team. Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recommends re buys as necessary, reviewing under and overstocks with suggested actions to maintain optimum stock health.
  • Analyses best and worst sellers making informed recommendations for action. Ensuring best sellers reach their full potential with consistent availability.
  • Supports the MA in managing the end to end critical path and helping to resolve inbound issues, liasing with suppliers, supply chain and buyers to problem solve
  • Escalate and highlight critical path opportunities or concerns to line manager.
  • Attending brand meetings when required and build strong influential relationships.
  • Building collaborative working relationships with buying counterpart working towards department strategy.
  • Supporting the Merchandiser and Head of Merchandising with excel reporting and preparation, analysis, and overseeing general housekeeping duties.
  • Managing the progression and development of the Admin Assistant.
  • Proactively analyse sales data and trends to ensure high customer valued products are always available whilst working within target cover levels
  • Manages a small portfolio of brands

    Well organised and self motivated, able to hit deadlines
  • Some management experience and strong ability to work as part of a team
  • Must have strong IT skills - Excel proficient
  • Min 1-year experience in a similar role
  • Focused on solutions and fast resolution
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to form good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and structure work in a fast paced environment
  • Highly numerate and analytical, competent working with large volumes of data, using this to make informed decisions
