Under general direction provides market leading expert claim handling in areas of investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of assigned claims in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, best practices and controls at all times of claims arising from designated line(s) of business. What Will You Do?
- To manage and handle a diverse portfolio of complex and often large claims arising from the assigned line(s) of business.
- Collaborates with Underwriting and Actuarial partners on portfolio, risk mitigation, policy language, and claim trends.
- To open new claims and to set reserves; to carry out early appropriate investigations in respect of policy coverage, liability and quantum.
- Fairly, promptly and proactively negotiates settlement of claims and communicates promptly on cover.
- Reserves claims accurately in accordance with Company guidelines and best practices, ensures that Company service standards are upheld and maintains data accuracy.
- Ensures that vendors provide a market leading, cost effective service to both insured and the company by continually monitoring their performance, cost and quality.
- Provides market leading claim service working closely with the Claim Management team and the broader business to deliver and enhance the claim offering.
- Maintains a close collaborative working relationship with underwriters, actuaries and risk management, and where appropriate, promotes the interests of Travelers by working with other business areas.
- To work as a team member providing such support as required by other members of the team and to fully participate in individual and shared project work.
- Partners with Underwriting to sell and market business and strengthen external client relationships.
- Where required, attends claim review and other customer service related meetings with the Insured and Brokers, promoting the values of the department and the company and the marketing leading claim services that it provides.
- Perform other duties as assigned., Private Medical Insuran ce: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.

- Market experience. What is a Must Have?
- Significant experience and sound judgment handling claims within assigned line(s) of business.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

We are seeking a Senior Claims Professional for our London or Redhill office, with experience in handling large casualty losses over £100k (injury and property damage). Motor, property, and technical experience are advantageous, and a willingness to cross-train into other claim types is preferred.,
