Full Job Description

We are delighted to be able to advertise for this Senior OT position within our Community Therapies (rehab) team. Specialising in long term disease management, rehab, complex equipment, posture and positioning and moving and handling, you will be supported by your team's MDT and B7 OT and PT Team Leads. You will receive regular supervision and be supported with a comprehensive induction to the team and community. You will manage your own caseload, get involved in service development and provide clinical & operational supervision to junior staff. We will support you with your ongoing CPD including specialist study days, Masters modules in relevant subjects and clinical supervision to name but a few. We are proud of our accomplishments, our strong MDT approach and our constant evolution and development. We are a 7 day, 8am-9pm service, although our clinicians usually finish by 6pm. Ability to drive is essential for this Community role. We would happily welcome your visit to meet the team and Team Leads, talk to the other clinicians and non-registered staff in the teams prior to your application and/or interview. Full time or part time would be considered for the right candidate.,

  • To undertake holistic OT assessment, clinical diagnosis and individualised treatment plans for patients on the caseload. These patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations and diagnoses, with varied rehabilitation potential, including palliative patients
  • Case management, providing expert clinical advice and therapy to patients with a variety of complex conditions living in the community who are at risk of deteriorating health that may result in declining quality of life or avoidable hospital admission to secondary care
  • To provide OT supervision, support and line management to junior staff, and mentorship to students
  • To work with senior staff to develop a comprehensive service in partnership with Integrated Care Teams and all relevant stakeholders.
  • To work on a rota basis covering 08:00-20:00, 7 days a week
