Your Role
Were looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Applied Machine Learning team and deliver new experiences and valuable insights to our coaches, athletes and fans across Hudl. Youll drive game-changing initiatives that use cutting-edge computer vision and deep learning at scale to shape the future of sports, from professional teams to local high schools.
As a Senior Data Scientist, your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering for customers at scale. Youll build, deploy, monitor and iterate on ML models and systems that scale across 40+ sports and to thousands of simultaneous sports matches.
Project leadership. Youll own projects that meet your teams quarterly goals while delivering high-impact results for customers and the business.
Collaboration. Youll work closely with other teams and leaders to deliver your projects in small increments, resolve your cross-team dependencies, and ensure our products meet the highest standards.
For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in London. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.
Must-Haves
Technical expertise. You have extensive experience in several of the following areas: computer vision (classical and deep learning), multi-view geometry, multi-object tracking, event detection and/or anomaly detection.
System experience. Youve built, maintained and monitored complex AI/ML models and systems in production at scale.
A proven track record. You know how to focus on products, delivering impactful AI/ML products through close collaboration with partners.
Nice-to-Haves
Sports industry experience. If youve used AI/ML in sports to generate data and/or create insights, thats a plus.
Real-time experience. You know how to work with ML models for real-time and low latency systems.
Foundational models knowledge. Youve fine-tuned visual language models or large language models for new domains and know how to apply them to novel GenAI applications.
Embedded experience. When it comes to optimizing, deploying and monitoring ML models for SoCs e.g. Nvidia, Qualcomm, etc., you know how it all works.

CompensationThe base salary range for this role is displayed below, and may be eligible for bonuses which are offered at Hudl's sole discretion. Where a candidate is placed within this base salary range is determined by experience, skills, education and training required for the job as well as our internal pay equity. Discretionary bonuses, if awarded, may include annual targets based on company performance and a long-term incentive award.Base Salary Range67,000-107,000 GBPInclusion at Hudl
