A great opportunity to work as part of a dynamic relatively newly formed team with particular focus on working closely with one of the ICSs, delivering effective financial support, challenge & advice across the system as part of working with the ICB & partner organisations to assure delivery of financial requirements supporting great patient care. The role delivers NHS England responsibilities: financial reporting, planning, performance & regulation requirements, is very varied & responsibilities include operational & medium term financial planning, annual plan delivery, financial risk management, productivity & efficiency, major capital business case review, assessing trust governance and efficiency arrangements, application of regulatory responsibilities including CQC Well led financial risk assessments & NHS oversight framework, sourcing & sharing best practice and working with national colleagues in capital, financial reporting & strategic finance
teams.
The Operational Finance team operates hybrid working providing the ability to work flexibly from home alongside office-based & other face to face working environments as required. Due to the focus on aligned working with an ICB the posts are based at a regional office within the relevant ICS geographic area but should the postholder will be required to have regular presence in a range of venues across the region, therefore be necessary to have the ability to travel efficiently., You can find further details about the job, organisational structure, recruitment profile, expected outcomes and benefits information in the attached Job Description and other supporting documents.

+ Significant experience of operating at a senior level in a complex organisation
+ Extensive knowledge of specialist areas acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
+ Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
+ Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects
+ Have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
+ Have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health and individual provider and commissioning organisations
+ Experience of managing and motivating a team/virtual team and reviewing performance of the individuals
+ Experience of identifying and interpreting national policy
+ Member of relevant professional body
+ Must be able to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups

+ Ability to analyse complex facts and situations and develop a range of options
+ Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult and contentious issues where there may be a number of courses of action, working to tight and often changing timescales

Following promotion of previous post holder we have a substantive post available as Senior Finance Manager within the North East & Yorkshire region of NHS England. This post is for the Senior Finance Manager- Humber & North Yorkshire within the North East & Yorkshire region of NHS England. The post is aligned to the Integrated Care System (ICS) in Humber & North Yorkshire system. Integrated Care Systems are a partnership where local partners - the NHS, councils, voluntary sector and others - work together to create better services based on local needs. Each ICS has an integrated care board (ICB) which is an NHS organisation responsible for planning health services for their local population., The NHS England board have set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all, which will inform the detailed design work and we will achieve this purpose by:
