Full Job Description

As our Senior Financial Planning Manager (Treasury), you'll enhance and operate whole balance sheet and cashflow modelling, including scenario analysis and stress testing as well as supporting the balance sheet modelling for the society's annual Budget process, interacting with Distribution, Products and Finance teams.

  • Maintain and enhance net interest margin modelling, including granular whole balance sheet forecasting, scenario analysis and tracking of performance.
  • Manage the monitoring of retail product pricing and performance, providing insight into cost of funds, variances and the impact of financial performance.
  • Support the annual update of the society's ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan and other major Treasury deliverables.
  • Ensure the effective control of risks within the Treasury function by regularly reviewing risks and controls and ensuring colleagues adhere to processes and procedures.
  • Enhance the Society's use of the ALMIS software and its interaction with the Society database.
  • Operate as an effective member of the Treasury Team, including appropriate engagement with regulatory reporting.

    You'll be experienced in financial modelling, preferably have a financial services background, and hold an appropriate qualification (e.g. CA, ACT, CERTBALM). An accounting qualification would be helpful but is not a requirement.
  • Skills and abilities:
  • Excellent in the use of Microsoft products for financial modelling and reporting;
  • Good understanding of the use of financial instruments (including derivatives) for the management of Financial and Liquidity risk;
  • Good understanding of Treasury Management Systems and Asset and Liability Management modelling;
  • Good inter-personal skills for developing and presenting information internally to the Product and Leadership Teams, and, where appropriate externally to regulators and Banking advisors; and
  • Ability to interpret micro- and macroeconomic information and understand the impact on the Society of such information., Familiarity with hedge accounting and its impact on margin would be an advantage.
