As our Senior Housing Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring that everything we do is in line with our values, regulations, and customer promise. You'll work closely with our Regional Director Jaine and collaborate across teams and specialisms to drive cleverly commercial decisions that boost both financial, operational and customer promise performance. Building strong, positive relationships internally and externally, you'll continuously seek ways to innovate and supercharge our results. This role is all about making a tangible difference - for our customers, our teams, and our communities. Typical day as a Senior Housing Operations Manager

  • Championing a customer-centric culture, ensuring services are delivered to the highest standards and regulations.
  • Leading the charge on financial performance, managing profit and loss accounts, and making cleverly commercial decisions that drive success.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep our homes and communities safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
  • Mentoring and coaching your team, fostering a high support/high challenge environment where everyone can thrive.
  • Tackling challenges head-on, including handling complaints with care and using insights to continually improve our approach.
  • Engaging in horizon scanning, sharing insights with your team to ensure everyone is aligned with our strategic goals and commercial focus.

  • This is a community role, and you'll spend your time in our communities with your colleagues and customers, working from our offices and from your home too.
  • Our Central region covers the Midlands and East, from Birmingham to Norfolk and everything in between!
  • Able to use technology to communicate and collaborate
  • You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.

    Extensive experience leading high-performing housing or supported teams within a regulatory environment.
  • A commercially sharp mindset with a proven track record in managing profit and loss accounts and driving supercharged performance.
  • Deep knowledge of housing legislation and a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive change, even in challenging situations.
  • A collaborative spirit, with experience in working across teams and specialisms to deliver cleverly commercial and customer-focused outcomes.
  • An exceptional relationship builder, skilled in forging strong, positive connections both within and outside the organisation.

    You'll join Jaine, our Regional Director, who joined us at Home Group earlier this year, but has more decades in the housing sector than she'd care to share (30+ years!). Jaine has two cats, one who adores her, the other hates her!
