Position: Senior HSE Business Partner Location: Remote (UK Business travel required) Work Pattern: Monday-Friday. Day time hours Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Closing date: 12th December, 2024 DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Senior HSE Business Partner to play a vital role ensuring continuous development and execution of Health and Safety across the DHL's Convenience business sector. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, you will

  • Be an HSE ambassador, Driving and supporting a Safety First culture within the area of responsibility.
  • Take responsibility for the full scope of HSE activities within the cluster of sites and carry out regular reviews.
  • Provide guidance and direction to site Management teams to ensure continued compliance and improvement of HSE standards.
  • Monitor the accuracy and quality of information in Logics and ensure trend analysis is produced and used by sites.
  • Ensure each site creates and maintain a short, medium and long term HSE improvement plan in a standardised format (inclusive of leading & lagging indicators).
  • Undertake relevant HSE audits and associated create action plans in line with corporate requirements.
  • Assist in the design, implementation and management of all company safety initiatives.
  • Provide training, coaching and guidance to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed and maintained.
  • Assist the management team in the understanding of their HSE responsibilities.
  • Provide Regular communication, reports on performance and issues to all stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management and delivery of relevant projects (HSE involvement).

  • Previous HSE Management experience within a Logistics environment is essential (desirably within the Convenience sector).
  • Exceptional understanding of all relevant HSE regulations applicable to warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience of managing a team.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or higher is essential.
  • Able to lead and drive HSE agendas, strategies, engagement and future goals.
  • Be able to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Able to support and assist management, senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Proven record of challenging and influencing decisions.
