If this sounds like you, Labcorp is looking for a Senior Laboratory Scientist to join our growing Crop Protection Chemical (CPC) team, part of the Environmental Sciences department in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire. The Senior Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the management of (LC-MS/MS) CPC studies/phases of studies and to ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with the Study Plan, SOPs and appropriate regulatory standards such as GLP guidelines (EMEA Method Validation, SANTE etc.). To run on a day to day basis and report the data, studies of various types and complexity. As a Senior Scientist your main responsibilities will be:
- Direct the successful commencement, running, completion, and reporting of studies assigned to you
- Liaise with internal customers to ensure prompt and proper action on all aspects of the study plans for studies assigned. Attend and, where appropriate, assist in key elements of the work of assigned studies
- Maintain an awareness and familiarity with other studies assigned to the team so that continuity may be achieved in the absence of any member of the team
- Develop and maintain sufficient knowledge in techniques and instrumentation used for analysis (LC-MS/MS) What we can offer you:

- Educated to degree level, ideally Chemistry or a closely related subject Experience:
- High level of experience working in LC-MS/MS or bioanalytical environment
- Experience and knowledge of analytical instrumentation (LC/MS/MS) and extraction techniques (liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), protein precipitation, solid phase extraction (SPE), microsamples etc) and its application in CPC
- Knowledge on handling an troubleshooting LC and MS (Acquity and Sciex Mass spectrometer)
- Legible and accurate data demonstration
- Ability to train and directs less experienced staff
- Supports department with scheduling, SOP writing, and issue resolution
- Able to work under pressure and multitasking
- Active team player, Motivates self and others to assure timely delivery of client expectations
- Highly skilled in conducting research, data interpretation
- Record of accomplishment of managing regulated preclinical studies in Laboratory settings
- Effective oral and written communication skills along with great organizational skills
