Full Job Description

· The post holder will line manage the Senior Management Assistants, which includes sickness absence management and performance reviews etc
· The post holder will also provide comprehensive executive, secretarial and administrative support to the Screening Services Senior Management Team (SMT).
· This includes planning and organising complex activities and logistics, providing high level support to projects as required, dealing with confidential and sensitive information and communicating/liaising with SMT Managers, senior executives in Health Boards, colleagues in Welsh Government and wider partners including Local Authorities as appropriate.
· The post holder will manage SMT level meetings as required including the collation, tracking and dissemination of papers, taking of minutes and management of actions. This is a key role to the effective running of Screening Services. The duties and responsibilities listed below are not intended to be exhaustive but are set out to indicate the main areas of activity currently expected of any Senior Management Assistant Coordinator. The post holder will therefore be expected to adopt a flexible approach when the needs of the role require.
· The post holder will also be responsible for developing standard operating processes (SOPs) and procedures and working with peers to ensure these are in place and being adhered to for the team.

To support our all Wales service, we particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers., Are you experienced in providing comprehensive executive, secretarial and administrative support to a Senior Management role and looking for a dynamic and rewarding role?
For this role, you will need to be proactive and resourceful with excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workloads and meet required deadlines. With close attention to detail, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as being confident at developing good relationships with both internal and external managers, peers and staff.
Electronic diary management and minute taking experience is essential for this role. You will also be line manager to some members of the PA Team within Screening, experience in this field is essential., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Please be advised that there is a temporary top-up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed., To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa, unless you have permission to work via another route. The salary scale shown is for a full-time member of staff, with the amount being adjusted pro rata for those working less than 37.5 hours per week.
In general, anyone joining our Trust who has not previously worked in the NHS will, by default, start on the first point of the advertised pay band. Pay progression will then be determined by annual Performance and Development Reviews in accordance with the NHS Wales Pay Progression Policy. An application for Incremental Credit may be considered, but can only be awarded based on evidenced, reckonable service and/or equivalent, relevant experience.
