Full Job Description

We are seeking qualified Senior Nurse practitioners to join our well-established team at Manchester Royal Infirmary to drive forward the service in an autonomous role.

As a qualified and experienced Practitioner, you will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and autonomously assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and discharge patients within their scope of competence who present to the Urgent Treatment Centre with minor illnesses and injuries.

You will be expected to provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role requires you to be an expert in your own field of practice and will require you to provide teaching and supervision for other members of staff in The Urgent Treatment Centre. You can be supported to fulfil aspects of the role currently outside your scope of competence., This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse Practitioner to work in a fast paced, dynamic Urgent Treatment Centre. The team are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, highly motivated individual to come and join our strong and well-established team.

You will have responsibility for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of care for patients presenting with minor injury or illness. Using your established clinical skills, you will work independently as a Senior Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality, evidence based care to this client group, with the support of our Clinical Lead and Matron.You will be expected to develop your scope of practice within local Trust guideline and policies. You will demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to care delivery and service improvement to work in this highly desirable area with a proactive multidisciplinary team.

This role will include shift working patterns.
