Our client is a highly respected planning consultancy, delivering expert advice across a wide range of sectors, including residential, retail, commercial, leisure, and healthcare. With a strong reputation for securing planning success, they provide strategic guidance on everything from site appraisals and planning applications to appeals and stakeholder engagement. To support their continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Planner or Associate Planner to join their Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional to work on high-profile projects, advising a diverse client base that includes developers, landowners, investors, and retailers. Is This the Right Role for You? Strategic Thinker - You understand the complexities of the UK planning system and can devise innovative, commercially focused planning strategies. Confident Communicator - You can build strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, providing expert advice and representing clients in negotiations. Project Leader - You can manage multiple projects efficiently, handling everything from initial appraisals to planning applications, appeals, and representations. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and managing planning projects across a variety of sectors.
- Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents.
- Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients to drive projects forward.
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Keeping up to date with policy changes and advising clients accordingly.
Chartered membership of the RTPI (essential). - 4+ years of experience in planning, with most of it gained in a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and a commercial mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team.
