Join the Close Brothers Technology team where you will act as an enabler to the Technology Leadership Team, as the purpose of this role is to capture, maintain, and report a single view of Technology Change Portfolio activities; to manage demand from various channels, and to oversee resource management for prioritisation. The role will also provide a consistent view of the portfolio plan, performance, risks, issues, interdependencies, and compliance, serving as a single point of contact for upward and outward reporting. Working as part of the Technology team our ideal team member will have previous experience in providing visibility and insight by capturing, maintaining and reporting a single view of all Technology Change Portfolio activities with excellent experience of managing, providing visibility and insight into a Portfolio of Change. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the definition of a Portfolio of programmes, projects, and/or on-going service provision. Plans, schedules, monitors and reports on Portfolio-related activities. Ensure that each part of the Portfolio contributes to the overall achievement of the Portfolio.
- Identifies Portfolio-related issues. Notifies projects/programmes/change initiatives of issues and recommends and monitors corrective action.
- Gathers, maintains and analyses organisation-wide workforce capability data.
- Performs gap analysis to identify workforce strengths and shortfalls with reference to business strategy and specific future needs.
- Facilitates cross-functional leadership teams to deliver organisational goals and outcomes.
- Leads the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans.
- Provide pro-active and value-add direction for Technology Operations through effective partnership with the Technology Leadership Team.
- Take ownership for all upward reporting to the Technology Leadership Team and the Bank, consolidating the input from across the Technology functions
Relevant experience working in a delivery environment, preferably in a Financial Services environment. - Proven experience of managing a demand profile and facilitating and enabling appropriate prioritisation.
- Knowledge and experience of project assurance, quality processes and procedures.
- Familiar with principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation.
- Ability to connect, capture and report on the interdependencies within the Portfolio and show the roadmap of Change.
- Familiar with methods and techniques for reporting progress and financial conformance against an agreed plan, and tracking and reporting realised benefits.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and is highly experienced at engaging with stakeholders and influencing outcomes. Builds strong long-lasting relationships with both internal and external customers, ability to handle challenge & conflict. IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Experience of both traditional and agile methods.
- Relevant IT qualifications preferred: Prince 2, MSP or other programme management qualification, ITIL etc.
- Agile Delivery Qualifications.
