Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be a cornerstone of our commercial team, taking the commercial lead on high-stakes projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on the financial feasibility of projects during the early stages.
• Contributing to Stage 2 tenders by creating cost plans, business cases, and procuring sub-contract supply chains.
• Organizing the division of projects into component work packages for procurement, assessing returns, negotiating with sub-contractors to secure the best value, and awarding work packages accordingly.
• Managing projects in line with NEC/JCT contracts, ensuring all risks are identified and mitigated, and commercial opportunities are maximized.
• Overseeing project cash flow, monitoring, and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure through Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.
  
  Extensive experience working on large 2-stage bids within a Tier 1 contractor environment.
• Expert knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.
• Proven track record as a commercial lead on high-value construction projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement and sub-contractor management.
• Proficiency in creating in-depth commercial reports.
