Senior Support Engineer

At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a JAS Support Engineer to join our team within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business. The CS3 line of business operates across the UK, providing innovative and invaluable support solutions to our customers. We help to ensure the availability of front-line capability wherever and whenever required. This role is based at RAF Coningsby within the Components Maintenance Facility (CMF), reporting directly to the CMF Manager, and working alongside the BAE Systems teams. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-paced pressurised environment under minimal supervision in a challenging technical domain in order to support the UK's fleet. Role to commence at Senior Support Engineer (Grade 5) with expectation for progression to Principal Engineer (Grade 6) in approximately 12 months based on performance and skills aligned to Leonardo engineering job family framework. What you will do as a Senior Support Engineer:

• Raising and manage technical queries
• Ensure the completion of delegated engineering tasks within the team Design engineering solutions taking into account all requirements such as product quality, safety, reliability and testability
• Become the Radiation Protection Supervisor registered with Leonardo
• Main point of contact for Support teams at Luton and Edinburgh
• Responsible for all RADAR and DASS workshop activities and output
• Providing engineering advice to assist Logistics on weekly planning activities
• Collaborate on ad-hoc tasks with the Logistics team
• Providing work force and time for test equipment support activities.
• Drive solutions to introduce new efficiencies within the work place.
• Ensure all pre-use checks are carried out
• Ensure all personnel are working in accordance with MRP145 approved data
• Ensure all weekly back-ups are completed.
• Supporting and providing cover for all contractor working activities
• Ensure engineering design is best practice by following Company and Engineering life cycle processes.
• Mentor any new employees and current CMF personnel
• Complete annual PDRs for Senior Support Engineers upon appointment of Principal Engineer., Raising and manage technical queries
