Full Job Description

Members of the Service Desk team develop a very broad knowledge across many of the Trust's systems. With a focus on the system users and direct system provision, the position is integral to the smooth provision and operation of the ICT services to users., The Service Desk is the first point of contact for most user support requests and good customer service skills are of high value and importance in this role.

  • Diploma level or higher qualification in an ICT related subject or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of recent and ongoing personal and professional development
  • Desirable
  • ITIL Foundation Qualification
  • Previous Experience Essential
  • Experience of providing ICT Technical support for hardware, software and network environments
  • Desirable
  • Experience of providing ICT support for a telecoms or network environment and / or for servers
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS
  • Evidence of Particular Essential
  • Ability to evidence / demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework :
  • Knowledge and experience of configuring and maintaining Windows Desktop systems
  • Knowledge and experience of hardware and software fault finding and resolving
  • Knowledge of network technologies
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and information security principles
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Active Directory

  • Knowledge and experience of IP telephony systems and solutions
  • Knowledge and experience of software deployment and update systems SCCM
  • Knowledge and experience of configuring and maintaining DHCP and DNS systems
  • Knowledge and experience of configuring and maintaining Windows Desktop and Server systems
  • Knowledge and experience of configuring mobile devices and operating systems including Apple iOS and Android
