Full Job Description
As a Service Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role will be part of a team delivering a service to Babcock's customers providing this unique capability wherever they need it, globally. Day-to-day, you'll report to the Service Management Team Lead and play a pivotal role in supporting the contract to manage and operate Skynet, the UK Ministry of Defence's military satellite communications system and ground stations.
- Conducting service portfolio management including risk and profit and loss management.
- Internal and external stakeholder management.
- Facilitation of communications between service delivery, support, client representatives, and service management (issue management).
- Developing services for the service catalogue.
- Coordinating Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA).
- Coordinating customer satisfaction surveys, and leading actions plans to ensure continuous improvement. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home. However, there may be a possibility for flexibility at the managers discretion. You may also be required to work for longer periods onsite if the project demands.
- Previous experience in a services role and understanding of service life cycle is desirable.
- Understanding and/or experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3 or V4 (desirable, though not essential).
- Understanding of commercial and/or satellite communications is advantageous for this role, though not essential.
- Experience of change management risk management., Project Management Qualification or Project Professional Qualification or equivalent (advantageous).
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (advantageous).
- UK Driving Licence. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
