Mandatory Qualifications :PCV Driver holding CPC qualifications Shift Patterns:To cover ADHOC Bus shifts including - 06:00-14:00 / 13:00-21:00 / 06:15-17:15 Please only apply to this vacancy if you have the above qualifications and would be able to work these shift patterns The post holder will be a vital member of the team who will assist in: · Transporting members of staff between hospital sites. · Working to a timed bus schedule for each pick up point. · Keeping accurate records of journeys. Trust staff will be using the service to attend shifts and meetings on other sites therefore punctuality is imperative. There is a potential for this role to include transporting members of the public in the future therefore an important aspect to your role would be to show kindness and respect to often worried patients and their relatives, who may include: - Older people - Individuals who are physically disabled - People with mental health problems During a shift you would keep in contact with the Fleet Manager who would be on hand to offer advice. You would spend a lot of time on the road covering a particular geographical area and would be driving a wheelchair accessible 31 seated bus. You would also wear a uniform which will be provided to you. The post holder is expected to be punctual and also flexible regarding shift times in order to accommodate the service. Operationalresponsibilities include · Working alongside the Fleet Team complete a range of vehicle checks including but not limited to tyre pressure, oil and screen wash levels · To report any vehicle defects to the Fleet Team · To report any equipment defects to the Fleet Team · To take ensure that your allocated vehicle is maintained throughout shift and left in a clean and tidy state at the end of shift · To ensure that your allocated vehicle remains refuelled and is returned to base refuelled at the end of the shift. · Work in line with all Policies and Procedures at all times. · To wear correct issued uniform at all times. Communicate with: a. PTS Providers b. Hospital/Trust Staff c. Service Users d. Colleagues and Office Based staff The post holder will undertake any other duties which may be reasonably regarded as within the nature of the duties, responsibilities and grade of the post as defined, subject to the provision that appropriate training is given and that wherever possible significant changes of a permanent nature shall be mutually agreed and incorporated into the job.
