Join us in this role where you will be responsible for deployment and support of infrastructure solutions for our growing global business in close collaboration with business stakeholder and onsite assistance. You will be a key partner alongside the best engineers in the industry to create a "best in class" network solutions. Our ambition is to secure that our network is running in the most reliable and efficient way as possible. The role is associated with technology used in business operations 24x7 365 days. Regular travel to our production sites across the UK and Ireland is required, so a full UK driver's licence is necessary. Welcome to UK IT Competency Centre You'll be part of our IT Site Enablement team where you, together with your colleagues, will be accountable for deployment, maintenance and supporting of our global WAN, LAN and WLAN solution where we are using the latest SD-WAN and SDA technology. You'll join a department of highly skilled colleagues spread around the world, working in an international and dynamic setup to ensure we have stable and reliable infrastructure available and online at all times. As a team, we work towards our company vision and collaborate with local and global stakeholders to achieve our business goals and seize learning opportunities. You'll play an important role in:
- ensuring stable and secure operations of all the sites based in UK and Ireland together with IT Product Owner
- daily management and operational troubleshooting, keeping up with the global network team to be aware of updates and changes to global strategy
- strengthening our ability to automate our infrastructure deployments and optimize deliverables
- maintaining and updating existing network setups, life cycling old equipment, coordinating down time with the business to push updates and changes
- maintaining compliance and presenting evidence in audits
- working directly with the business to address and resolve any network issues as they arise, coordinating with ISPs if there are any planned or unplanned outages., Send your application to us as soon as possible. - have hands on experience in operating WAN, LAN and wireless enterprise infrastructure using Cisco SDA and SD-WAN solutions
- demonstrate deep technical understanding of Cisco routers and switches and Cisco management platforms
- are at least Cisco CCNA or CCNP certified, preferably with utility/renewables/power industry experience
- are familiar with ServiceNow, SolarWinds, and Azure DevOps
- have experience in creating documentation, including network drawings of IT Infrastructure and making network documentation in Microsoft Visio
- have expertise in managing and coordinating various vendors and stakeholders at the same time, including ISPs, electricians, building managers, equipment suppliers, SDMs, security teams, and business users.
