Full Job Description
Governance & Oversight: Ensure high-quality training across our provider network, meeting the standards required at each project stage.
Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with contract partners, education providers, and community stakeholders to align development programs with SZC's mission.
Apprenticeship Strategy: Lead the design of an Apprenticeship Forum to support SZC's goals for inclusive recruitment, with pathways for 1,500 apprentices.
Quality Assurance: Establish assurance programs to ensure our contract partners have the resources and structures to create a high-performing workforce.
Continuous Improvement: Oversee skills development, innovate training solutions, and build sustainable, forward-looking learning programs.
Proven experience in skills development, especially around apprenticeships, pre-employment, and educational policy.
Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications to capture and report project data effectively.
Strategic mindset with knowledge of the UK education and employment landscape, especially in the pre-and post-16 skills environment.
Desirable:
Familiarity with regulated and security-focused environments.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and designing educational programs.
Commercial awareness to measure financial and business benefits in skills programs.

The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Join the Sizewell C (SZC) Project as our Skills Development Lead and be at the forefront of building a highly skilled, local workforce to drive one of the UK's most exciting energy projects., As the Skills Development Lead within our Employment Affairs Unit (EAU), you'll have the unique opportunity to design, coordinate, and lead educational and pre-employment initiatives that directly impact the future of SZC. Your work will support an ambitious pipeline to deliver 1,500 new apprenticeships and create local job opportunities, while building a robust education, skills, and employment program that will meet the evolving needs of our construction workforce., Sizewell C is a great place to work, where everyone is welcome.
