We have an exciting opportunity to join our social care quality assurance and contractsteam. As the manager of the team, you will lead on transforming and imbedding a qualityassurance process and structure for our care market in Shropshire. The post willmanage the team in their work to ensure we have great quality services, thorough andeffective contract management and support for our markets for adult and children socialcare services and oversee contract compliance in relation community care and supportservices, such as residential and nursing homes, domiciliary care, supported livingservices, and other community contracts.You will be part of a dedicated and experienced team who work closely with Social Carecolleagues to promote good outcomes for people who use our services. You will beworking with a range of partner agencies to support vulnerable adults, children, youngpeople, and families and continue to develop collaborative working. For this position weare looking for someone who has a genuine passion for delivering quality care to peoplein Shropshire. The role will involve

Applicants should possess:

• Dedication and passion for delivering excellent quality care across care providers
and contracts for Shropshire
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and to manage priorities and work schedules
• Ability to think and work strategically, understanding the bigger picture and how
this relates to resource and people management
• Experience of managing teams, and supporting them to meet performance
targets
• Ability to develop effective working relationships both within the Council and with
external stakeholders
• Excellent presentation, communication report writing and negotiation skills
• Experience and knowledge of Social Care contracts and procurement
