Full Job Description
The Social Care pathway provides a truly integrated, recovery focussed service to local people of South Staffordshire aged 16 and over, who are experiencing significant and disabling functional mental health difficulties. Our social workers are core members of the integrated mental health pathways and are highly valued and respected in their role supporting the recovery journey for adults with significant mental health needs.
We are supported by strong partnerships and working relationships with local independent service providers and voluntary agencies. We pride ourselves on providing a responsive, reflective and effective service to the communities of South Staffordshire.
We currently have an opportunity for a Level 3 social care professional and would welcome applications from experienced and knowledgeable social workers who are also qualified AMHPs and registered with Social work England., This post will have a particular focus on safeguarding adults from abuse and neglect as set out in s42 of the Care Act (2014), and its associated statutory guidance., On appointment, the post holder will be auto-enrolled in the SWLA and aligned to the appropriate British Association of Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework. The relevant SWLA 'stage' (i.e. stage 1 (ASYE), 2 (Social Worker) or 3 (Advanced Social Worker) will also be agreed taking all prior Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and relevant experience into consideration. The post holder will be required to take responsibility for their own Continuous Professional Development.

You must have leadership and management skills, excellent multi-agency partnership working abilities and be a team player with excellent communication and IT skills.

Dependent on an individual's location and preference we will be in a position to negotiate work-base with them. The Social Care Pathway in South Staffordshire currently has office accommodation in Stafford and Cannock.
