Full Job Description
· Assists in designing, building, testing, and maintaining high quality LabWare functionality.
· Provides first line user support for an existing LabWare LIMS system.
· Conforms to required coding standards and maintains excellent documentation to meet GxP regulatory standards and maintain system validation.
· Assists in reviewing technical specifications, ensuring that requirements are suitable for development before sign-off.
· Works with the rest of the development team to prioritise, assign, and review tasks on a daily basis.
· Use issue-tracking software to assign, monitor, and resolve bugs and feature requests.
· Experience writing or debugging LabWare LIMS Basic code or transferable coding experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
· A solid understanding of SQL, especially Oracle, and experience writing and debugging queries.
· Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues effectively.
· Familiarity with working in a regulated environment.
· Experience with software development best practices, including Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
· Comfortable working to rigorous coding and naming standards.
· Comfortable building/configuring LabWare objects such as visual workflows, user dialogs/grids, and html scan dialogs.
· Experienced in use and design of databases.
· Knowledge of HTML/CSS.
· Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
· Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
· Proven ability to manage a challenging personal workload.
· A pragmatic team player who is motivated by producing an excellent product.
· Good IT skills and experience of using various software packages.
Nice to Have
· Has worked in a highly regulated environment and understands the compliance required from system administrators in these environments.
· History of writing high quality LIMS basic code to meet complicated business requirements.
· A proven ability to write and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries.
· Experience designing and configuring Oracle DB tables/views/functions.
· Comfortable creating and modifying Crystal Reports for use in LabWare.
· Has configured complex LabWare objects such as html scan dialogs/javascript enabled workflows.
· Ability to attend UK Cambridgeshire site on an infrequent basis when the need arises.
· Working knowledge of Powershell and Excel Basic.
· Scientific and IT backgrounds.
· Ability to write and debug Javascript and R.
· Working knowledge of clinical/pre-clinical LCMS and plate-based assay bioanalysis.
