Sous Chef

Sous Chef - Birmingham Monday - Friday role (occasional weekends will be required to suit business needs) As Sous Chef you willreport to the Head Chef and be responsible for the day-to-day catering offer in the staff and delegate restaurant whilst supporting the hospitality offer for the conference centre. What you'll be doing:

• Assist in leading the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, innovative dishes
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Support in menu development and planning, bringing creativity and fresh ideas
• Oversee food hygiene and safety compliance in the kitchen
• Manage stock control and ordering, maintaining cost efficiency
• Mentor and support junior team members in their development
More about the role:
• Prepare, cook and present food to the highest standards checking for taste, presentation and quality.
• To ensure all food preparation is carried out in accordance with food hygiene procedures
• Support all areas of the Kitchen as required
• To ensure food is served promptly and work is carried out quickly and efficiently to keep up when busy
  
  Proven experience as a Sous Chef
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences
• Highly organized with a focus on delivering quality and consistency
• Excellent communication and team management abilities
