Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring Clinical Technologist/Nuclear Medicine Radiographer to join our team of Clinical Technologists, Associate Technologists and Clinical Scientists to participate in the full range of nuclear medicine practice within the department. This is a great opportunity to develop your practice skills in a friendly, busy department that covers a broad scope of nuclear medicine procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Service sits with the Imaging Business Unit at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton and is progressive and friendly. It provides a full range of diagnostic imaging and non-imaging studies along with a number of molecular radiotherapy treatments. The department has modern facilities with three gamma cameras, two with SPECT-CT, and its own dedicated Radiopharmacy manufacturing unit. There are also plans to install a new gamma camera with diagnostic CT capacity in the next 12 months. The department plays an active role in a range of training activities and we will support your development with access to training, mentoring, wellbeing and personal development opportunities., You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the department's diagnostic imaging and non-imaging work with adult and paediatric patients including all methods of radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition and image processing. You will also work within the Radiopharmacy and be involved in both the manufacture and dispensing of Radiopharmaceuticals and also blood cell labelling. You will perform routine equipment quality control.
