Early Years Specialist Development Officer
Employer: Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
Location: Inclusion Support Early Years & Child Development Centre, Sedgley Road East, Tipton, DY4 8UH
Salary: Band E SCP 18-25 (£30,559 - £35,235) per annum + £1,491 SEN Allowance

Job Details
We require a Specialist Development Officer with at least 2 years post qualifying experience in working with children 0-5 years with SEND.
Providing advice, guidance and support to Parents/Carers, Early Years Practitioners, and other Professionals, to ensure their individual and special needs are identified and met.
You will have in depth knowledge of child development and have experience of working with a range of outside agencies. You will have excellent communication and time management skills, work independently and as part of a multiagency team, carrying out assessments, action planning and report writing.
You will be required to travel to a range of venues including families' homes.
Qualifications:
- NNEB/BTEC/ NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent or higher.
- NB: Qualification must be related to Child Development/Education
The Postholder will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
