The successful applicant will join an electronics/multi-skilled section specialising in linear accelerator support. Dedication, flexibility and willingness for some out-of-hours work are essential for this role.

Although the vast majority of you time will be spent at Royal Preston Hospital we work closely with other centres within the North West Radiotherapy Operational Delivery Network and some working at these sites will be required.

The engineering section is a small, highly skilled, close knit team within the Oncology - Medical Physics department at Royal Preston Hospital.

We work a shift system of 3 extended days over a 6 day, Mon-Sat, week. Although the days can be long this is compensated for by the 4 days off shift each week.

The department is an approved training centre for the IPEM register of Clinical Technologists and training will be provided to achieve membership.
