Full Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, qualified Speech and Language Therapists to work within our established team of committed SLT's and Assistant SLT's to assist in delivering high quality services to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across Northumberland and North Tyneside., The post holders will have the chance to work with clients presenting with a range of acquired aetiologies including stroke, dementia, neurological conditions, respiratory conditions . You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients on your caseload., To develop/improve/maintain/manage communication/swallowing/feeding skills of adults in a given location, through direct intervention, liaison and joint working with other staff and carers and across agencies, to maximise their potential reduce risk and enable their maximum participation and integration into society.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
