Full Job Description

  • Participate in the promotion of theStaff Psychological Support Serviceacross the organisation to maximise awareness and to ensure equity of access for all in the organisation.
  • Develop relationships across the hospital and wards to provide opportunities for informal/ ad hoc psychological interventions.
  • Maintain a physical 1:1 therapy environment that is therapeutically appropriate.
  • Provide short term confidential therapy for employees of the Royal Marsden who self-refer; or are referred by Occupational Health.

    The post holder will provide a high-quality psychological service for all members of staff within the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. This will include short term therapy, facilitation of reflective groups, and critical incident stress management. In addition, the post holder will be involved in facilitating workshops, teaching and writing psycho-education material that will help the hospital staff to cope with the emotional challenges of being involved in the care and treatment of patients with cancer. The role provides both preventative and responsive psychological interventions. The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a world-leading cancer centre.
