Staff Nurse - Endoscopy

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality care to a defined patient group either within the acute hospital or community based setting. They are responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence based individualised patient care within the boundaries of their role. The post holder will contribute to the continuing development of standards of care including developments of nursing
standards and monitoring of outcomes. The post holder will be expected to continue with their own professional development.

Candidates are responsible for covering the cost of their own DBS check if required: £18 for a Standard DBS check, recoverable from the first pay, or £38 for an Enhanced DBS check, divided and recoverable over the initial two pay periods. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a fast paced endoscopy unit in Swindon. We are a friendly team with good ambition to progress the service further. We offer full induction to the unit and will support you in your training and to discovering how great Endoscopy is. We accept both newly qualified's and experienced nurses for this post.

You will need to be flexible with your working patterns and willing to take part in the out of hours GI bleed on-call bleed rota when fully trained. There is also a new CDC unit being built in West Swindon, staff will be expected to rotate between the two sites.
Endoscopy is a varied and rewarding specialty with both routine and acute patients. You will need to be both compassionate and technically adept.
